The Series

Map 1  (Icebox)

The first map of the night was Icebox which is Fnatic’s favorite playground. Fnatic started the map off just the way they wanted- winning the first two rounds. However, FUT Esports was quick to respond as they won the next four rounds at a stretch. The rest of the first half was pretty much Fnatic making a comeback. The first half ended 7-5 in favor of Fnatic.

As the sides were changed, Fnatic really put their game faces on and put up a way better performance on attack. They needed only 6 more rounds to pick up the map and that’s exactly what they did. Fnatic picked up all of the rounds on attack and won on Icebox. It was none other than Alfajer that put on a stellar performance for his team.

Map 2 (Lotus)

It was now time to show up at FUT’s map pick of Lotus. Fnatic stuck by their game plan and chose not to go for an atypical team composition. Fnatic started Lotus on the right foot by winning the first two rounds yet again. While they couldn’t follow up by winning the bonus round, they made amends by making sure FUT can’t pick up consecutive rounds. The first half ended 8-4 in favor of Fnatic.

Heading into the second half, FUT was in a rather uncomfortable position. They had to recollect themselves and get their strategies right in order to make a comeback. But that’s quite the herculean task against this Fnatic roster! Fnatic kept their composure and won Lotus 13-5. With the second map done and dusted, it was a comfortable 2-0 victory for the Turkish giants.

Team Vitality vs. Natus Vincere

  • Jokūbas ‘ceNder’ Labutis
  • Santeri ‘BONECOLD’ Sassi

Map Picks & Bans

  • VIT ban Pearl
  • NAVI ban Haven
  • VIT pick Split
  • NAVI pick Fracture
  • VIT ban Icebox
  • NAVI ban Lotus
  • Ascent remains
Map 1 (Split)

Vitality’s first pick of Split wasn’t a surprise at all as they have tons of experience on that map. But NaVi’s start on Split surely made Vitality scratch their heads. A determined NaVi roster made sure that they won the first pistol rounds. While they did concede their bonus round, they kept the momentum on their side throughout the first half. And that is why the first half finished 9-3 in favor of NaVi.

The second half saw Vitality recollecting themselves and putting on a better show. CeNder and Twisten tried their level best to bring their team back into the match. An impressive comeback was on the horizon as Team Vitality almost equaled the scores at 10-11. However, the NaVi team made sure not to drag it any further and picked up two rounds to win their first map of the night.

Map 2 (Fracture)

It was now time for the two teams to play on NaVi’s map pick. With Vitality starting on defense, they picked up the first two pistol rounds. But NaVi soon leveled the score 2-2 by winning the next two rounds. It was Vitality again in the driver’s seat as they won two rounds of their own. But the rest of the first half saw NaVi dominate. The first half was over with NaVi up 7-5.

The second half came with intense neck and neck competition. Vitality won the first round but couldn’t follow it up with the next round. The following rounds saw things go back and forth as both looked desperate to win on Fracture. But Vitality eventually caught up to Natus Vincere with the score line reading 10-10. At this point, one of the teams had to step up and it was NaVi.  They picked up the next three rounds without flinching and won the map 13-10. As expected, NaVi came out on top!

The VCT EMEA 2023 action returns on Wednesday with Team Vitality set to face Fnatic. NaVi will face Team Liquid next in about a week’s worth of time. Can both Fnatic & NaVi continue their domination at the VCT EMEA 2023?

We are heading our way into the final day of week 5 of VCT EMEA 2023. With FUT Esports facing Fnatic and Team Vitality going up against Natus Vincere, who will be our winners of the night? We bring you our VCT EMEA predictions of the day!

Prediction

Let’s kick off our VCT EMEA Predictions with our prediction on FUT Esports vs Fnatic. According to the current standings of the tournament, Fnatic are at the top of the table thanks to their unbeaten run. Meanwhile, FUT Esports are sitting currently on fourth position. The biggest flex for Fnatic so far at the tournament is the fact they have lost only one map so far. They have been spotless despite not being able to play with their preferred lineup in the opening week. But Alfajer is back after his visa issues have been sorted. Their confidence is further boosted knowing that FUT is heading into this match after losing their last one 2-0 against Giants.

The two teams have not faced each other in a competitive match before. A lot will rest on the shoulders of qw1 today as his team hopes that he puts on a terrific show. Keeping Fnatic’s dominant form in consideration, we honestly don’t see how Fnatic will bottle this matchup. We’re predicting a rather comfortable 2-0 victory for Fnatic.

Prediction

Our second VCT EMEA prediction is of the matchup between rivals Vitality and NaVi. Natus Vincere is currently sitting pretty at second on the table with Team Vitality on fifth position. So, it goes without saying that NaVi have turned more heads at the tournament so far. They are on a four-match winning streak and don’t look to give that up any time soon.

These two teams have only faced each other once before at the G-Loot Valorant Clash where NaVi won 2-0. On paper NaVi are definitely the better team on Valorant and their current form certainly says so. Vitality is expected to put up a fight but Zyppan & co. should walk away from this series with a 2-1 win over their opponents.

No matter how much FIFA fans love playing FIFA Ultimate Team, it really is a chore. The constant grind to improve your team and trying to earn more coins just to do that is a lot of work. This is why coin traders get quite an upper hand on Ultimate Team. We know getting started with trading seems complex for most beginners. For that, today Gamopo brings you our comprehensive guide to FUT Trading.

What is FUT Trading?

FUT Trading is the process of making more coins by trading and/or investing on certain FUT cards available on the market. Prices of cards fluctuate over certain time periods- over weeks and even on a single day. The basic idea of trading is simple, you buy a card at its lowest possible price and sell it when it becomes high again. Now this may sound really simple, but there is a lot to learn here. There are multiple ways to trade cards on FIFA Ultimate Team. Today we’re gonna take a look at the most popular forms of trading.

Investing

The first lesson in our comprehensive guide on FUT trading is investing. True to the definition itself, investing is buying and holding a card for a long period of time waiting for its price to increase. But how can we predict that? Well, a card’s price may increase over time for quite a few reasons. But the most common reason is when a card has demand and it goes out of packs (or OOP, in short) soon. Let us take a look at Seko Fofana’s In-Form card that was released during TOTW2.

Seko Fofana's price increase on Futbin

By monitoring his price chart on Futbin, you can see that his price slowly started to increase near the time he went out of packs. The optimal time of selling was on 5th October, the day the next TOTW was released. So, if you bought In-Form Fofana a few days earlier, you could have made a few thousand coins in profit. This is how investments work and this type of investing is known as TOTW investing.

OTW Investing

There’s another form of investing known as OTW (Ones To Watch) investing. This type of investments are made with OTW cards. The specialty about this card is that the rating increases based on the performance on the player as well as his team. So, it is a good idea to buy OTW cards at fair prices a few days before the player’s team plays. You can sell the card right before the match of the team or risk selling later. When you risk selling later, you’re assuming that the team of the player you’ve invested in will win. Basically, it’s high risk, high reward.

Marquee Matchups Investing

Marquee Matchups is a regular SBC that goes live every Thursday. It is a collection of SBCs of the week’s most hyped matches. Usually, in those SBCs, the solutions ask for players from certain teams such as Bayern Munich, FC Barcelona or Manchester United. The idea is that you predict the matches that the next Marquee Matchups will feature. Accordingly, you will pick up a few cards of those very teams. You can either sell those cards right before the Marquee Matchups is released or risk selling right after. If the predictions are right, you can sell those cards for quite a profit an hour or two after the release.

Marquee Matchups

Sniping

Sniping is a term you may have often come across on Ultimate Team. Throughout the day, players often sell good cards for incredibly low prices on the transfer market. The idea is that you keep searching the market to get those deals. This can be done using specific filters and you keep changing your bid price every search. However, the drawback is that you have to have incredibly good reflexes to pick up those cards. More often than not, someone else will pick up those cards instead of you.

Mass Bidding

Mass Bidding is the art of bidding on multiples of the same card. The idea is that you pick up a few cards by bidding around 10% less than the buy now price. When you bid on multiples of the same card, you’re guaranteed to pick up at least a few. You can then sell these off for a quick flip or keep them to sell later. Mass Bidding works on pretty much every FUT card. You just need some luck to get great deals on cards.

The idea is to trade by having a proper mix of investments and quick flips. That way you minimize a lot of the risks by having a diverse portfolio of cards. We wish you the best of luck for your trading journey on FIFA 23. And of course, may the pack luck be in your favor!

A new season of FIFA is dawning upon us. For all the FIFA Ultimate Team players out there, it’s another year of grinding to make the best team possible. Let’s face it, we all hate grinding and we all wish we could make things a little easier. With that thought in mind, Gamopo brings you the ultimate guide of getting the best start on FUT 23.

When is FIFA releasing?

FIFA 23 is set to release on all platforms on 30th September, 2022. By platforms, we mean Xbox Series X and Series S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Google Stadia, and Microsoft Windows. However, if you already have (or getting) the Ultimate Edition, you can start playing from the 27th which is 3 days earlier. But that’s not all you’re getting out of the Ultimate Edition.

Perks of Ultimate Edition

Let’s take a look at all the perks that come with pre-ordering the Ultimate Edition:

  • 4,600 FIFA Points
  • Three Days Early Access, start playing FIFA 23 on September 27
  • FUT Ones to Watch Player Item (Untradeable)
  • FUT Team of the Week 1 Player Item (Untradeable)
  • Kylian Mbappé Loan Item, for 5 FUT matches
  • FUT Ambassador Loan Player Pick, for 3 FUT matches
  • Career Mode Homegrown Talent, local youth prospect with world-class potential

We recommend getting the Ultimate Edition as soon as possible if you want the best start for FUT 23.

Be sure to keep an eye out on our news section for more of such guides and tips!

Best Start on FUT 23

In order to have the best possible start on FUT 23, it’s important you keep a few pointers at the back of your mind. Let’s go through all of them:

Web App

The Web App is the in-browser application for all your FUT needs. If you haven’t used it before, just know that you can do pretty much everything there except, of course, playing matches. You can set formations and tactics, buy and list players on the market, buy packs and much more. The Web App for FUT 23 comes online 21st September. You can start using the transfer market if you’re a returning FUT player with an account in good standing. The FUT 23 Companion App comes out the next day but it’s not that important unless you trade on the go.

Got the Ultimate Edition?

If you picked up the Ultimate Edition, there are some stuff that you need to keep in mind. Like previous years, the 10-hour access (that comes with EA Play) doesn’t release before the Ultimate Edition. So, if you picked up EA Play along with the Ultimate Edition, there really isn’t a difference in that case. However, if you got yourself the Standard Edition along with EA Play, you can play for 10 hours from the 27th before the full game releases.

Covering the Basics

Nations to Pick

When you’re getting started, pick any of the following as your preferred nation:

  • England
  • Italy
  • Argentina
  • Brazil
  • France

I would suggest going for either England or France because they provide you some of the players you’re gonna need for Advanced SBCs.

Got Packs?

If you got yourself some loyalty packs, open all of them and sell everything that has some value. These coins at the very start matter a lot! You should have a few thousand coins if you do it properly. If you pack a meta player or something high-rated, hold onto it as the price will increase within the next day or two.

Foundation Objectives and SBCs

Dive right into the foundation objectives and SBCs after you open the packs. Objectives are pretty much the same as it always has been before. You gotta apply some contracts here and there, make your team reach max chemistry and buy or list players on the transfer market. For the SBCs, you have to keep in mind that you’re almost guaranteed to make more money than you invest. Therefore, don’t hesitate to spend some coins to get those much needed players. Finish all of the advanced SBCs as quickly as you can utilizing as many players you already have in your pile.

If you follow all of the guidelines, you’ll be looking at the best possible start on FUT 23. May the pack luck God be in your favor on this Ultimate Team!
